Charolette Player is the author behind the funny and heartwarming story of Martha Cream Cheese, a loveable young girl who runs into all kinds of hilarious problems while planning her birthday party! Charolette Player is the author of the Martha Cream Cheese stories, a delightful series that celebrates imagination, problem-solving and persistence.

A lifelong advocate for literacy, Charolette was a writer for the Collections Reading Program for young elementary students and a past member of the International Reading Association of Edmonton.

As a former principal of an inner-city school, she has always been passionate about helping children discover the joy of reading. During her time as a board member for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton, she actively promoted a system-wide Paired Reading Program that connected volunteer adults with young readers to build confidence and a lifelong love of books.

Charolette’s stories reflect her belief that every child has the creativity and courage to solve problems – and to find joy in the journey!
