Submissions
HummingByrd House publishes Canadian Authors and will consider unsolicited manuscripts; however, we do not publish the following:
- Religious Texts
- Books that have previously been self-published
Complete submissions will undergo a screening process which includes:
- Peer review of manuscript
- Looking for positive response from at least three readers
- Good-fit within our current book list
We understand you are eager to receive a reply to your submission and ask for your patience during this process, as it may take up to a year to complete. We strive to give each manuscript the attention it deserves.
Please reference the submission criteria listed below and ensure all elements are met as incomplete submissions will not move forward in the discovery process. In addition, manuscripts created using the assistance of artificial intelligence will not be considered.

What To Include
To ensure your manuscript will be considered, your email submission package must contain the following:
- A cover letter listing your previous writing experience and/or previous publications. In addition, please include your address, email address, social media profiles and phone number along with a full synopsis of your current submission.
- Please format your electronic document with a header on each page noting your name, the title of the manuscript, and the page number.
